How Do I Help?

Reuse plastic bags, don't throw them away. Instead of buying a bunch of tiny plastic water bottles that will last one day, buy a big one that will last a long time. Try to recycle as much as you can, and try to put less into the garbage can.

Go to the Links tab and donate to the many organizations that are defeating ocean pollution.

If you every see any trash floating around, pick it up. Eventually, whether its in a year or on that day, somehow that trash will get into the ocean. Sign up for community service. Pick up any litter you find.
